Resolution of the Board of the National Bank № 249, dated  30.04.2014 "About  amendments to some legal acts of the National Bank of Ukraine"   adopted new features of currency - exchange transactions of the foreign exchange market of Ukraine.

In particular, the following features of the currency - exchange transactions:

 -If bank sells cash foreign currency for individuals – residents for an amount which does not exceed the equivalent of  15.000 UAH  necessary to provide bank with  the identity document and confirming residency;

 -If bank buys foreign currency cash from individuals for an amount that does not exceed the equivalent of 150.000 UAH – not necessary to provide bank with the identity document and confirming residency. Name of client in such case will be written only in invoice of bank;

 -Buying foreign currency cash by bank from non-resident-individual with his consent may be done without writing a certificate! However - sale of foreign currency TO non-resident-individual has to be legitimated!

 -Conversion of foreign currency (exchange of one foreign currency to another) and the purchase of foreign currency by banks from individuals in amount of equivalent of 150 000 UAH , carried out in accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation about prevention of laundering crime or financing of terrorism, which include customer identification.

Resolution shall enter into force in 15 days after its official publication (will be published - 23.05.2014).
