For depositors of bank branches of Privatbank , VAB Bank "Kievan Rus" and Imeksbank which were located in the Crimea
Central Bank of the Russian Federation on April 21st decided to stop in the Crimea and Sevastopol activities of four Ukrainian banks - Privatbank, VAB Bank, Bank "Kievan Rus" and Imeksbank. According to the explanation of Central Bank, these financial institutions do not fulfill their obligations to depositors…
Now the aforementioned banks, according to a Russian regulator have the right only to conduct operations related to the transfer of assets and liabilities. In this case the Central Bank said that property rights of deposits from customers of these banks (individuals and individual entrepreneurs ) will be acquired by a newly created unprofit organization “Fund for the Protection of depositors" ( structure of the Russian Deposit Insurance Agency ), which will pay the compensation.
The Fond plans to start paying compensation from 23rd of Apri, amount of compensation is limited to 700.000 rubles per depositor per each bank.
